CLASSES:
Basic – Soldering for beginners
Step by step instruction on how to get started with the basic skills of soldering – no experience needed.
Basic continued
Cabochon stone setting – using this ancient form of stone setting, students will produce a pendent or ring in this fascinating journey through time.
Basic advanced
Using a combination of cold connection riveting & basic soldering, students will produce a stunning brooch based on their design ideas.
Intermediary
Hollow fabrication – students will produce a hollow formed ring based on their designs; incorporating a small tube setting or peg set stone/pearl.
Intermediary continued
Forged & fabricated synclastic bracelet – hands on forming of a classic hollow form bracelet.
Intermediary advanced
Fold formed brooch with bezel set gemstones – using this unique technique for forming sheet metals, students will design & fabricate a small scale brooch, adding bezel or flush set gems to accent the piece.
Advanced
Techniques old & new can be covered in these design to suit workshops.
Students should have a good grounding in basic soldering & fabricating skills.
